Jin Tay Industries Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Jin Tay", "the Company", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains how we collect, process, use and protect your personal data in the course of providing our products and services, and the rights you are entitled to under the Personal Data Protection Act of the Republic of China (Taiwan) (the "PDPA").

 Please read this Policy carefully and make sure you fully understand it before using any of our products or services. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please discontinue use of the relevant product or service. By continuing to use our products or services, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Policy.

Our Guiding Principles

• We collect only the data necessary to provide our products and services, and we do not collect data beyond that purpose.

• We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data.

• Our lock mobile applications are designed to operate locally on your device: whatever can be done on the device is not uploaded to the cloud.

• The scope of data required varies by product and service. The specific details are set out in the Supplementary Notice for each product (see Section 1).

1. Scope and Product Supplementary Notices

 This Policy applies to all products and services of Jin Tay, including but not limited to: the locks and related hardware products we manufacture and sell; the mobile applications and software used in conjunction with those products; our official website (including all language versions); and our business operations such as pre-sales consultation, quotations, order processing and after-sales service.

 Because the nature of each product and service differs, the scope of data collected also differs. In addition to this Policy, we therefore provide a separate Supplementary Privacy Notice for specific products or services, setting out the data actually collected by that product, the purpose of each permission requested, and how the data is stored.

Effect of Supplementary Notices: Each Supplementary Notice forms an integral part of this Policy. In the event of any inconsistency between a Supplementary Notice and the main text of this Policy, the Supplementary Notice shall prevail with respect to that specific product or service. When we release new lock software or applications in the future, they will be incorporated into this Policy by way of an additional Supplementary Notice, and the "Last updated" date of this page will be revised accordingly.

Supplementary Notices currently published:

• Annex 1: Supplementary Privacy Notice for Lock Mobile Applications (applicable to Bluetooth smart lock control apps published by Jin Tay, including the AG-Lock smart lock app and any subsequently released applications of the same kind)

 This Policy does not apply to your mobile device operating system, app stores, telecommunications carriers, or any other third-party websites, applications or services that you access or install on your own (including our storefront pages on third-party B2B trading platforms). Each of these parties maintains its own independent privacy policy, which we encourage you to review separately.

2. Information We Collect

2-1 Information You Provide to Us

When you contact us, request a quotation, place an order, register a warranty or seek after-sales service, we may collect the following information:

• Contact and identification information: name, company or business name, job title, telephone number, email address, mailing or shipping address, and country or region.

• Transaction and service information: details of inquiries and orders, product models, warranty registration data, and records of repair or complaint correspondence.

• Other content you provide voluntarily: any information you enter or attach in emails, the inquiry form on our official website, or messaging applications.

Most of the above information is necessary for ordinary business dealings. If you choose not to provide it, we may be unable to complete a quotation, shipment, warranty validation or after-sales service for you.

2-2 Information Generated Through Use of Our Products and Services

• Lock and application operating information: lock identifiers, lock status, authorization and lock/unlock records, and application execution logs. For our lock mobile applications, this data is stored only locally on your device. See Annex 1 for details.

• Website browsing information: when you visit our official website, our servers may record your IP address, browser type, time of visit and pages viewed for the purposes of maintaining website operation and information security. In addition, our official website uses Google Analytics (provided by Google LLC) and the built-in traffic statistics tool of our website platform provider to understand overall website usage in aggregate form (for example, page views, visitor countries or regions, and device types). These statistics are not used to identify you personally, and they are not matched or linked to the information you submit through our inquiry form. For details on the related cookies and how to opt out, see Section 8.

2-3 Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect sensitive data such as national identification numbers, financial account passwords or full payment card numbers, and we do not process online card payments in our own systems (where a third-party payment service is involved, that provider handles the data under its own policy).

• We do not collect raw biometric data. Fingerprint or facial verification within our applications is performed by your device's operating system; we receive only the result of that verification (success or failure).

• We do not track your precise geographic location. Our lock mobile applications do not read or record your location coordinates (see Annex 1). Our official website obtains only aggregate country- or city-level data estimated from IP addresses through its traffic statistics tools, which is not used to locate you individually, to serve advertising, or for personalized behavioral analysis.

• We do not collect personal data that is unrelated to the provision of our products and services.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal data only within the scope of the following specific purposes:

• to provide, maintain and improve our products and services;

• to process inquiries, quotations, orders, shipments, invoicing and accounts;

• to provide technical support, warranty validation, repairs and complaint handling;

• to deliver product functions such as lock control, member management and authorization management;

• to improve product quality and diagnose faults;

• to maintain the operation and security of our official website and to understand website usage through aggregate statistics; and

• to comply with legal requirements, perform contractual obligations, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

 Period of use: for the duration of your use of our products or services, and thereafter for any period required by law or contract.
 Territory of use: within the Republic of China (Taiwan), including the location of your device, and the locations of the data processors listed in Section 4 and the service providers described in Section 6.
 Manner of use: in electronic or paper form, and only to the extent necessary for the purposes stated above.

 We will not use your personal data for any purpose other than those stated above, including but not limited to advertising, user profiling, or resale to marketing companies. Should we need to use your data for a new purpose in the future, we will obtain your separate consent beforehand.

4. With Whom We Share Your Information

• We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to any third party.

• To the minimum extent necessary to provide our services, we may disclose data to data processors that support our operations (for example, logistics and delivery providers; website development and hosting providers; website traffic analytics providers such as Google; email, IT systems and information service providers; and accountants or legal counsel). We require these processors to be subject to appropriate supervision under applicable law and contract, and they are prohibited from using the data for any purpose other than the services entrusted to them.

• When you purchase our products through a distributor or sales channel, that distributor is an independent data collector with respect to the data it collects, and its own privacy policy applies.

• We will disclose necessary data only where required by law, or upon request of a government or judicial authority made in accordance with legal procedures. Where permitted by law, we will notify you of such disclosure.

• In the event of a merger, demerger or transfer of business, your personal data may be transferred together with the business. We will notify you in advance by appropriate means.

5. Storage, Retention and Security

• Storage location: business correspondence and transaction data are stored in our internal systems located in the Republic of China (Taiwan). Data submitted through the inquiry form on our official website is additionally stored by our website development and hosting provider at the location of its servers and forwarded to us. Data generated by our lock mobile applications is stored locally on your device. See Annex 1 for details.

• Retention period: we retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. Data relating to transactions, taxation or warranties is retained for the periods prescribed by applicable laws, including the Business Entity Accounting Act and the Tax Collection Act. Once the retention period expires or the purpose no longer exists, we delete, destroy or de-identify the data.

• Security measures: we implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including access controls, encrypted transmission where necessary, and confidentiality obligations for personnel who handle personal data.

• Security disclaimer: no technical or organizational measure can guarantee absolute security. Please safeguard your own accounts, devices and authorization credentials, and avoid transmitting sensitive information over unsecured networks.

6. Cross-Border Data Transfers

 As a general rule, our business data is stored and processed within the Republic of China (Taiwan). However, because our products are sold to numerous countries and regions worldwide, and because our official website relies on hosting and traffic analytics services provided by overseas service providers, cross-border transfers may occur in the following circumstances:

• when you submit an inquiry or contact us from outside Taiwan through our official website, email or messaging applications, your data is transmitted from your location to Taiwan;

• browsing records and traffic statistics of our official website are processed by Google Analytics and our website platform provider at the locations of their respective servers; and

• to complete shipment, logistics or after-sales service, necessary contact and delivery information is provided to logistics or service providers in your location.

 Our lock mobile applications do not transmit your usage data to any server, whether inside or outside Taiwan.

 All such cross-border transfers are limited to what is necessary to achieve the purposes set out in Section 3 and are carried out in accordance with the PDPA and the regulations of the competent authorities. If any additional cross-border transfer arrangements are introduced in the future, we will update this Policy with the recipient countries and other necessary information.

7. Your Rights

Under Article 3 of the PDPA, you may exercise the following rights with respect to the personal data we hold about you:

• to inquire about or request access to your personal data;

• to request a copy of your personal data;

• to request supplementation or correction of your personal data;

• to request that we cease collecting, processing or using your personal data; and

• to request deletion of your personal data.

 You may submit a request through the contact channels set out in Section 12. To protect your rights, we may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within the time limits prescribed by Article 13 of the PDPA: requests for inquiry, access or copies will be answered within 15 days of receipt; requests for supplementation, correction, cessation of collection, processing or use, or deletion will be answered within 30 days of receipt. Where necessary, these periods may be extended once, and we will notify you in writing of the reason for the extension. Data that we are legally required to retain (for example, accounting records) may not be deletable before the statutory retention period expires; in such cases we will explain the reason to you.

 Data in our lock mobile applications: because the data of these applications is stored only locally on your device and we hold no copy of it, you may exercise all of the above rights directly on your device. See Annex 1 for instructions.

 Consequences of not providing data: you are free to decide whether to provide your personal data. However, if you decline to provide necessary data or withdraw a relevant permission, we may be unable to complete a quotation, shipment, warranty validation or after-sales service for you, and the applications may be unable to provide some or all of their functions due to insufficient permissions.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

 Our official website may use cookies or similar technologies to maintain basic website functionality, remember your language and browsing preferences, and help us understand overall website usage.

 Our official website uses Google Analytics for traffic statistics. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about your browsing behavior (such as pages viewed, time spent, referring website, approximate geographic region and device type), which is processed by Google on its servers. For information on how Google handles this data, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy. You may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent Google Analytics from collecting your browsing data.

 You may refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings; however, some website functions may not operate properly as a result. Our lock mobile applications do not use cookies and do not integrate any third-party advertising or behavioral tracking technologies.

9. Protection of Minors

 Our products and services are not directed at minors, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. Minors under the age of 18 should use our products or services only after their legal representative or guardian has read and agreed to this Policy. If you are the guardian of a minor and become aware that the minor has provided personal data to us without your consent, please contact us and we will assist in addressing the matter.

10. Handling of Data Security Incidents

 If we become aware that personal data has been stolen, disclosed, altered or otherwise compromised, we will, in accordance with Article 12 of the PDPA and other applicable laws, notify you by appropriate means (such as email, telephone or an announcement on this page) after investigating the incident, and inform you of the facts of the incident, the response measures we have taken, and the protective actions we recommend you take.

11. Updates to This Policy

 We may update this Policy or add product Supplementary Notices from time to time in response to changes in law, product adjustments or operational needs. Updated content will be published on this page together with the revised "Last updated" date. For material changes affecting your rights and obligations (for example, the introduction of data uploads, third-party services or cross-border transfers), we will alert you before the change takes effect through an in-app announcement or other prominent means. If you do not agree with the revised content, please discontinue use of the relevant product or service.

14. Language Versions

 This Policy may be made available in multiple languages. In the event of any discrepancy or conflict between language versions, the Traditional Chinese version shall prevail.

Annex 1: Supplementary Privacy Notice for Lock Mobile Applications

A. Applicability

 This Supplementary Notice applies to the Bluetooth smart lock control mobile applications published by Jin Tay, including "AG-Lock" and any other lock applications subsequently released by Jin Tay that operate on the same architecture (collectively, the "Applications"). The functions actually available in each Application may vary by version and lock model; the content displayed in the version you have installed shall govern.

Core characteristics of the Applications: they are local tools that communicate directly with your lock via Bluetooth. No account registration is required, and we do not collect your real name, national identification number, mobile phone number, email address or password. Data generated within the Applications is never uploaded to servers operated by Jin Tay or any third party.The Applications contain no advertising and do not integrate any third-party statistics, analytics, push notification, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs.

B. Information Collected by the Applications

The Applications collect only the information necessary to deliver lock control functions, and all of it is stored locally on your device:

Category

Details

Purpose

Lock identification information

Bluetooth address and device name of the lock; identifiers of the devices you have authorized

To establish a Bluetooth connection, identify the lock, and enable unlock authorization and member management

Lock status information

Locked/unlocked status, battery level, unlock count, and Bluetooth/volume switch status

To display the real-time status of the lock to you

Authorization and usage records

Authorization records, lock/unlock history, and the member labels you enter yourself in the app (for example, "Dad" or "Employee No. 1")

To enable member management, one-time authorization and record viewing

Location permission (for Bluetooth scanning only)

On Android versions earlier than Android 12, the operating system requires the app to hold location permission in order to scan for Bluetooth devices

This is a technical requirement of the Android operating system. The Applications do not read, record or store your geographic coordinates, and do not use location for positioning or push notifications

Local log files

Application execution logs (written to local files on the device for troubleshooting connection issues)

Fault diagnosis; stored only on the device and never automatically sent to Jin Tay

About member labels: the Applications do not require you to enter real names; you are free to use codes or nicknames. If you choose to enter another person's real name or other personally identifiable information, that data is entered by you and stored on your own device, and you are responsible for ensuring that you have obtained that person's consent. Jin Tay does not receive, and has no means of accessing, such content.

C. Permissions

The Applications request the following system permissions, each used solely for the corresponding function. You may refuse or revoke any permission at any time in your device settings, in which case the corresponding function will be unavailable:

Permission

Purpose

Effect if refused

Bluetooth / Bluetooth scan / Bluetooth connect / Bluetooth advertise

To search for, connect to and control the lock (core function)

The lock cannot be found or controlled; the Application will be unusable

Location

Required on Android versions earlier than Android 12 to perform Bluetooth scanning; the Applications do not access location coordinates

Devices running Android versions earlier than Android 12 will be unable to find the lock

Camera

To scan QR codes in real time for adding devices or accepting authorizations. Images are decoded locally at the moment of scanning only; no video is recorded, no images are saved, and nothing is uploaded

Devices and authorizations cannot be added by scanning; manual entry may be used instead

Photos / media access

To save an authorization QR code you generate to your photo album, or to read a single image you select in order to recognize the QR code it contains. The Applications do not browse, index or upload any other photos in your album

QR code images cannot be saved or imported; real-time scanning may be used instead

Biometrics (fingerprint / face)

To unlock the Application locally. Biometric data is held by your device's operating system; the Applications receive only the "verification succeeded / failed" result returned by the system and cannot obtain and do not store raw biometric data

An alternative method must be used to access the Application

Network access

Used only to display web content such as this Privacy Policy; not used to transmit your lock data, authorization records or any other in-app data

This Policy page cannot be opened within the app; lock functions are unaffected

D. Storage, Retention and Security

• Local storage: all in-app data is stored only locally on your device (in the Application's private database and local files). The Applications are not connected to any cloud server and do not upload your lock data, authorization records or usage records to the Internet.

• Communication security: communication between the Application and the lock is encrypted in transit to reduce the risk of unlock commands and authorization information being intercepted or tampered with.

• Retention: data is retained locally on your device for as long as you use the Application. When the Application is uninstalled, data stored in its private directory (including the database, settings and log files) is deleted by the operating system. However, QR code images or exported files that you have actively saved to your photo album or other public folders are not removed on uninstallation and must be deleted by you.

Please note: lock and unlock history may reveal your entry and exit times and daily routines, and is therefore relatively sensitive information. These records are stored only on your device and cannot be accessed by Jin Tay. Please keep your device secure, enable a screen lock, and do not hand your device or authorization codes to anyone you do not trust.

E. Device Transfer, Loss and Sharing of Authorizations

• Transferring or disposing of a device: first delete the devices and authorization records within the Application, or uninstall the Application and restore the phone to factory settings.

• Lost device: we recommend that you promptly remove the unlock permission of the lost device using another authorized device.

• Sharing authorizations: if you choose to provide an authorization QR code or one-time authorization code to another person, that sharing is your own decision and responsibility and does not constitute a disclosure of data by Jin Tay.

F. How to Exercise Your Rights Within the Applications

Because all data of the Applications is stored locally on your device and Jin Tay holds no copy of it, you may exercise your rights directly on your device:

• Inquiry and access: view the device list, member data, authorization records and unlock records within the Application;

• Copies: view the relevant content within the Application and capture or record it yourself;

• Supplementation or correction: edit member names, device names and similar data directly within the Application;

• Cessation of collection, processing or use: disable the Application's Bluetooth, camera, location, photo or other permissions in your device settings, or stop using the Application;

• Deletion: delete an individual device, member or authorization record within the Application, or uninstall the Application to erase all data stored in its private directory.

 The Applications do not offer account registration; accordingly, there are no server-side accounts or data for which a separate deletion request is required.
